Sunshine Coast Fashion Shoot - Avian Arboreta

Yet again I've had the total pleasure of working with local Sunshine Coast photographer extraordinaire, Bonnie Jenkins, on this avante garde fashion shoot. From afternoon sunset through to evening in the forest, Bonnie captured an amazing collection of images as only she can.

Bonnie is a wedding photographer, fashion, visual and fine art photographer. " Avian Arboreta attempts to bring my fine art photography aspirations into my fashion work, using nature and in-camera techniques to create a surreal environment set-off by Mariam Seddiq’s intricate garments and the Australian Barn Owl.The forest and the decorative creatures that inhabit it inspired this shoot. Mariam Seddiq’s hand embellished couture gowns and bijoux complimented the owl’s intricate feathers.The owls featured in this shoot are from Raptor Vision and these birds are used as ambassadors for their species to help educate the public on birds of prey conservation, Raptor Vision’s goal is to open a raptor rehabilitation centre on the Sunshine Coast.The shoot brings together the Sunshine Coast’s wedding and fashion vendors and Sydney designer Mariam Seddiq, to create a shoot, which is both alternate bride and high fashion.
